Q&A: Panasonic LCD tv PT50LCZ70 powering off?

by Bogdan Suditu
Question by CASEY F: Panasonic LCD tv PT50LCZ70 powering off?
We have had our TV for about 15 months now. When we are watching tv it all of the sudden started powering off for about 15-20secs and the green power light just keeps flashing. It kicks back on after the 15-20secs. Can anyone give us advice on what this might be? Just today we saw the lamp blink red on the front of the tv. Is this a lamp problem?! Any help would be wonderful!!!

A new lamp does not correct the problem.

The Green Lamp Zoom and Focus aren’t correct, you should have a television tech take a look at the lamp settings. there’s nothing wrong with the lamp itself, just where its placed.

Q&A: Panasonic LCD 60″ HD TV – Bulb Problems?

by fallsroad
Question by Witmer777: Panasonic LCD 60″ HD TV – Bulb Problems?
I have a 3 year old Panasonic LCD 60″ HD TV that blew its first bulb about 8 months ago. Within a couple days of replacing the bulb the next bulb blew, which that company promptly replaced. Now 8 months later that bulb stops working (doesn’t appear to be blown, just non-functional). I buy a bulb on ebay and replace it and the tv works for 4 days and then tonight it shuts down again. The bulb once again doesn’t appear to be blown, but the tv turns off and the lamp light blinks. If I pull the plug and restart, the tv will play for a few minutes and then turn off again. I don’t really know what to do now. Any advice would be welcomed.
Unfortunately no warranty. Even if I did, it probably would have expired by now. The ballast question is a good one, I’ll have to ask about that. As for taking it anywhere…it is a 60″ TV…not really easy to lug around.

You need to take it in and get it serviced. It seems to be a ballast problem. Sometimes when the bulbs blow, it can take out the ballast with it. Its unlikely but it can happen.

Problem with my Panasonic tv 50LCX63?
Question by JC: Problem with my Panasonic tv 50LCX63?
My television seems to turn off by itself at random times, the power button will flash and so will the lamp button, any suggestions on fixing this? do i need a new lamp maybe?
Best answer:
Answer by TV TECH-man®
You may need the lamp….TYLA 1001
and a new Thermoswitch too if it still misbehaves after replacing the lamp….
But start with the lamp, you can order one directly from the manufacturer and install it yourself…
Look in your instruction book for “Replacing your Lamp”

More than likely the problem is the power switch on your tv need to be replaced. Allot of rear projection tv had this problem, I had a 65″ Mitsubishi and they wanted 0 to repair the tv. I gave it away and bought a new 50″ Plasma tv. Email Panasonic and see what they say. Hope this will help you out.

I have a question to the owners of Panasonic Lumix FZ7.?

by Alireza Teimoury
Question by dzisiaczka: I have a question to the owners of Panasonic Lumix FZ7.?
Is it true that low battery corrupt all the images you’ve taken.
I’ve read that when the battery is LOW and the lamp indicator of it starts to blink all the images disappear from the memory card!
Did you ever had a situation when the battery was low and the camera
shut down, were all the images on the card after switching it on again?
I want to buy FZ7 but I am realy confused after I read it.
Maybe the guy who wrote it has smth wrong with the card..
Could you comment please?
Best answer:
Answer by Cap
I don’t have the FZ7 but my friend and my dad have a similar model. They never have any problems like that.
I think the problem can be when his camera is still writing data to the card (where the light is flashing), he opened the SD door and cause the camera stop writing to the card and possibly corrupt the SD card. If you follow the instruction that comes with the camera, it should be fine.

Unless you purchased a service plan it’s just better to go out and buy another TV. Repairs are expensive and most of the time will cost you just as much as a new TV. The most common problem is either the mother board or the plasma gas needs to be refilled. both cost 600-900 dollars.

Question by Elisabeth: I have a Panasonic Invector microwave that whenever I use, turns my lamps on.?
These lamps are about 20 years old and they have no switch to turn them on. They are the “touch” kind of lamps. You touch them and they turn on and off. What could cause a microwave to do this?
I have plugged in the microwave in the bedroom and saw the lights turn on, so it is definetly the microwave.

Those lamps are very sensitive to any kind of disturbance on the power line.
Some microwave ovens use a “thyristor” type of switch which can put a little glitch back onto the power lines.
That glitch travels back from the oven to your main fusebox, then down the wires to the lamp and the poor oversensitive lamp turns on from the glitch.

Is this a dlp tv? It may be that you need a new bulb (a red light should be blinking on the front) or that the lamp cover isn’t closed properly.
